1) Why did you choose GCSE Media Studies?
I got put into media without choosing it. I was unable to do
what I wanted so I ended up doing media. If I had picked media it would be
because it seems like a fun lesson which is a bit more chilled so I won’t have
to stress about it too much like I will be with maths English and science.
2) Which part of the course are you looking forward to most?
The part I’m looking forward to the most is making the music
video as I will be able to express my own ideas and have a bit of fun.
3) What knowledge and skills do you hope to learn in Media?
I hope to learn editing skills and more social skills. Media
will teach me about different things in the social media that I’m unaware of at the
moment.
4) What grade are you realistically hoping to achieve in
Media?
I hope to get an A this year.
5) What was the last TV programme or film you watched?
The last film I watched was Final Destination 3.
6) Why do you think that TV programme or film appealed to an
audience?
The front cover of the film was eye catching. Also it has
had a lot of positive reviews from newspapers and reporters.
7) What technology have you used to access the media in the
last 24 hours? (Radio, TV, phone etc.)
My mobile phone, I pad, Laptop and TV
8) What device do you use most to access the media?
I use my mobile most as I use many social apps on it each day.
9) What aspects of this show might the audience enjoy? List
at least three things and explain why the audience would enjoy each aspect.
The bright colours as soon as the show starts grabs the audience’s
attention and makes them more intrigued. Also the way the camera crew zoom in
and out of the presenter interests the viewers as it sends us a sense of fun.
The presenter is very cheery and seems to have a comfortable
conversation with each of the contestants. This makes us a viewer’s feel like
the participants are normal people like us.
The audience responses to things said and things which have
happened are often very positive, encouraging us as viewers to carry on watching
as we believe it is interesting as we often follow the majority of peoples opinions.
